The Masi Foundation recognized the entrepreneur Giovanni Bonotto as one of the personalities who best contributed to represent and to impart the civil and universal values of the Venezie and awarded him with the “Civiltà Veneta” prize.
The textile entrepreneur, who was the first to introduce the concept of “slow factory” in the industry, proved that the arts and crafts sector could ensure a future for the Italian business community. He recovered many local production techniques from the past and he exported fabrics from Veneto and Italy on a global scale.
Social commitment, business, science, current events and wine: all of these aspects of culture have been the main focus of the XXXII edition of the Masi Prize, which for the past 30 years has been celebrating the creative energy of those people and institutions that are committed to promote the fundamental social and civil values.
